This is a workshop based session which aims to raise awareness of dyslexia. It will be an active session with group work and discussions. All participants will leave the workshop with a much better understanding of the impact of dyslexia upon thinking and learning, together with some practical ways of helping to mitigate this impact. It will be useful for anyone with an interest in dyslexia. It is will be particularly relevant for people who work within the education sector. It is suitable for all levels. Please note that at the beginning of the course learners will take part in an induction to the College and the course. They will be asked to complete an Individual Learning Journey (ILJ) which will help learners to reflect and monitor their progress. The tutor will use this information to check learning and plan their lessons.
