Drawing skills: step 1

The course will combine developing your looking skills observation with drawing techniques. We will be using a range of tools including pencils, charcoal, pastel ink, and pen. We will be covering the basic elements of drawing: line, tone, space, form and perspective.

Entry requirements

Your tutor will advise you on materials, tools and equipment during your first session, though it would be helpful to bring the following to the session if possible depending on personal preference: Materials A4 sketchbook Cartridge or heavy weight paper Equipment HB, 2B, pencils and rubber Will I need to do anything in my own time? You will be encouraged to develop themes and ideas in your sketchbook outside the class.
