You will be taught construction techniques, using different clays including the marbling technique, combining different colour clays e.g. black and white, or terracotta and white. We will look at other artists work to help inspire. You will be encouraged to combine techniques and try new ways of working, developing your style and ability. You will use different glazes and finishes to complete you pieces.

We will discuss work individually and discuss types of glazes as a group to understand how to achieve different finishes. Entry requirements

You can bring with you tools you may have, but tools are available house in the studio. You may wish to buy your own as you develop your skills. You will need to bring an apron, a pen and note book or sketch book. There will be a charge for clay, glazes and firing Will I need to do anything in my own time? Some learners want to continue developing their skills at home. Also some like to view other artists work in galleries or on the internet.
