UPDATED 20151204 15:59:48

Are you looking to start your career in HR, perhaps as an HR assistant or administrator? Or you may already be working in an HR entry level or support role? If so, this is the course for you. Line Managers will also benefit from the people skills and knowledge in this programme. It is also very practical and informative for small business owners or managers who have responsibility for managing the people element in their teams and organisations. One student who completed the course in Salisbury in 2015 said: 'The course has given me a greater understanding of the wider HR environment. It definitely made me more 'marketable' to an employer - towards the end of the course I applied for 5 jobs and got 5 interviews! Without the CIPD qualification this would not have been the case. It's been a great course and I will miss coming along on a Tuesday'.

Course information

Name: CIPD Level 3 Human Resources Diploma Qualification title: Diploma in Human Resources Practice (QCF) Qualification type: Assessment There are no examinations, but there is one assignment for each module. The format of assignments varies from reports to role plays to reflective statements - your tutor will guide you and show you exactly what is required. All assignments are relevant to the work place, so you may find yourself conducting an appraisal meeting, or carrying out a panel recruitment interview or delivering a training session. The course does require some reading and personal study. You should assume that the classroom hours of approximately 4 each week are matched by at least an equivalent amount of your own time in reading and writing assignments. Classroom sessions are on Wednesdays in both Devizes and Salisbury starting at 1.00 pm. The Salisbury course lasts 22 weeks approx., the Devizes course is slightly shorter (16 weeks TBC) but has longer sessions, some of which may be 'blended' i.e. using e-study away from the classroom. There are generally two start dates; September and Spring. The next courses start on Wednesday January 6th 2016 (Salisbury 1.00 pm - 5.00 pm) and Wednesday 3rd February 2016 (Devizes 1.00 - 7.00 pm approx.).
