On this course you will continue to learn the basics of Acrylic painting. You will look at a range of artists throughout the course to help you to develop a variety of approaches. You will cover a range of subject matters, such as natural landscapes, flowers and abstract painting. You will have an opportunity to discuss these with your tutor at the beginning of the course and to develop ideas for your own piece in the second half of the course. You will learn: How to use proportion, How to plan and develop a painting How to dry brush, How to use sponge techniques and spattering How to use washes How to use a pallet knife How to make changes as your piece evolves, as appropriate. How to design and build up your own piece over the second half of the term At the end of this course, you should have a piece of work suitable for peer critique and personal evaluation.
