Topics to be covered: Using an IT system to access and store information. Word Processing (entering editing text formatting tables printing). Using the Internet (send/receive emails navigate access web pages search). Spreadsheets (carrying out calculations creating charts). By the end of the course the students will be able to: Understand how to use ICT equipment in relation to health and safety. Identify and use the components of a desktop computer. Use Word 2010 to word process and print out documents. Use Internet Explorer to surf the web, access email search navigate. Use Excel 2010 to carry out calculations and create graphs.
