These courses are for adults who speak English as an additional language and have English literacy skills at a beginner level or who are not yet confident with reading and writing. All your skills will be developed (speaking, listening, reading and writing), but there is more focus on basic reading and writing. You will take a Skills for Life exam when you are ready

Name: Afternoon Esol Entry 1 Qualification title: Award in ESOL Skills for Life (Speaking and Listening) (Entry 1) (QCF) Qualification type: Other regulated/accredited qualification Assessment During the year you will do assignments and tests. You will have to produce a portfolio of your work. Your teacher and the 'internal verifier' will check your portfolio regularly throughout the year. At the end of the year, students who make good progress can take FS/AQA maths exams or Cambridge or ESB ESOL Exams.
