You will get a good introduction to a variety of topics fundamental to working in adult social care. The course focuses on your professional knowledge and your language skills to help you find work in the rewarding Health and Social Care sector. Core units include: - Working in Adult Social Care - Person Centred Approaches in Social Care Settings - Safeguarding and Duty of Care in Adult Social Care Settings - Safe Working Practices in Health and Social Care Settings The course runs two / three days a week for one year. You will also study Functional Skills in maths and English or ESOL and do a work experience placement for which you will need a DBS check.
