AS Level Film Studies

Students taking this course should have an interest in watching a wide range of films from different genres and eras. You will have the opportunity to analyse and research films that interest you and work creatively to produce your own short film. Students will examine the social, political and cultural influences that have impacted on film production over the years. This course will develop your interes and appreciation on cinema, specifically through studying the language of film texts, key concepts around producers and audiences and the message and values within films.
