This course provides the learner with a selection of predominantly craft based subjects that are aligned to our City and Guilds Level 2 Diploma in Engineering Apprenticeship Programme. The course enables the full time learner to transfer to Apprenticeships and carry forward any achievements.The course consists of the following 6 units:3 theory based mandatory units:Working in engineeringPrinciples of engineeringPrinciples of manufacturing technology.3 craft based optional units:Milling techniquesTurning techniquesFluid power systems.A further practical unit can be offered for City and Guilds Level 1in MIG Welding subject to the suitability of each candidate.
