A Level : Language Concepts & Issues - You will study the Analysis of Spoken Language and Language Issues. You will be required to analyse at least two transcriptions and answer a question from a choice of three based on the study of four topic areas. Language Change Over Time - You will look at Language Change Over Time and English in the Twenty-First Century and answer questions based on these themes. Creative & Critical Use of Language - You will look at the creative and critical use of language and answer questions, requiring original writing responses and commentary. Language & Identity - You will study and research a topic related to language and identity and write a language investigation based on your findings. Topics can include, language and self-representation; language and gender; language and culture; or language and diversity.
