This course can provide an ideal foundation for students to progress to more advanced studies and science related careers. The course consists of 3 modules across the year. Two of the modules are assessed by an external examination (35% and 40% of the marks) whilst the third is a controlled assessment consisting of a practical based piece of work, which is set externally, marked internally and moderated externally (25%). The course will consist of a mixture of theory and practical lessons.
