Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) Level 3 Diploma in Accounting (Feb)

This is a work-related qualification which will develop all aspects of manual accounting including: double entry bookkeeping adjustments, financial records and preparing both cost and financial accounts. The course will cover the construction, closure and transfer of account balances, production of final accounts and the VAT system. It also uses spreadsheets in an accounting context and discusses the importance of professional ethics to the accounting world. There are six units within the Diploma, four of them are assessed by a computer based exam which is set and marked by the AAT. The Professional Ethics and Spreadsheets units are assessed in College by an e-assessment. On completion of the course you will receive the nationally recognised accounting qualification, AAT Level 3 Diploma in Accounting.

You will be required to regularly consolidate your College work with self-directed learning at home. You will need reliable access to the internet in order to utilise a range of resources.
