Philosophy: This module introduces some of the key ideas and concepts in philosophy. You will examine the great thinkers Aquinas, Hume, Anselm, Descartes, Freud and Jung. There are four themes in the component: • Arguments for the existence of God; • Challenges to religious belief; • Religious experience; • Religious language. 2 hour written exam – 33 1/3% of A Level Religious Ethics: This module addresses a wide range of issues concerning the broad notions of right and wrong and examines some of the greatest ethical thinkers throughout history..
