Music Practice (Performing) - BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma

This is a 2 year full-time vocational course designed for people who want to develop as a musician and learn about the music industry. The course includes an instrumental workshop in either guitar, bass, vocals, drums or keyboards. Students will be required to rehearse with other budding musicians, working towards assessed performances throughout the two year programme.

Entry requirements

Our rehearsal studios are well equipped. Guitar and Bass players are required to provide their own instrument, leads and tuner. Drummers will require their own sticks and/or hot rods. Vocalists may sign out a microphone within the department, however it has be known for vocalists to acquire their own microphone in the interest of hygiene. Our staff will be more than happy to advise you on recommend makes and models. All musicians should have a practice file for items such as lyrics, chords and tabs, sheet music and hand-outs which will be required during rehearsal and workshop sessions.
