This Award is for new entrants to the lifelong learning sector who don't have prior teaching experience or qualifications. It also suits people already working in the area who want to gain official qualifications. You should have an idea of what subject you'd like to teach and either have, or be working towards, a qualification in that area. Level 4 is ideal if your role involves identifying learning needs, planning for learning, engaging learners with differing characteristics, and assessing learning. This level provides more in-depth theories and principles. This comprises one mandatory and a range of optional units, including: Roles, responsibilities and relationships in lifelong learning Understanding inclusive learning and teaching in lifelong learning Using inclusive learning and teaching approaches in lifelong learning Manage learning and development in groups Principles of assessment in lifelong learning.
