BTEC 90 Credit Diploma (1 year)/BTEC Extended Diploma (2 years)This course is designed to develop your understanding of the principles of coaching, fitness testing, nutrition, the body in sport, exercise Physiology and practical sport. You will develop occupational skills such as teamwork, effective communication and problemsolving. An important element of the course is keeping up your own fitness levels through participation in various sports and learning about fitness testing and developing training programmes for clients. Students typically progress in to employment in their chosen field or go on to university. On the first year of the course you will be enrolled on the BTEC 90 Credit Diploma and upon successful completion you may be able to progress to the 2nd year of the BTEC Extended Diploma in Sports and Leisure.You need to be under the age of 19 years at the start of this course.
