This wide-ranging course will equip you with the academic and practical skills required for success in a variety of mechanical, manufacturing and electrical and electronic engineering occupations. You will discover the world of engineering, engineering technology and the future of engineering. You will have the opportunity to develop specialist skills and gain a broader understanding and experience within real work environments. This course is a good starting point for those who wish to progress in to engineering but require more experience and knowledge of the specialisms in the industry. The course covers electrical, electronic and mechanical engineering, maths and communications. The course is designed to provide the basis of an Advanced Apprenticeship giving students an excellent basis to apply for and achieve a full Apprenticeship within the engineering sector or go directly in to employment in the industry. On the first year of the course you will be enrolled on the BTEC 90 credit Diploma and upon successful completion you may be able to progress to the 2nd year of the BTEC Extended Diploma in Engineering.Duration: 1 year/2 years
