FRENCH CONVERSATION CIRCLE - HIGHER

This is an advanced course for students who have a good command of the French language. The main emphasis is on conversation. During the course we will discuss a variety of topics of interest (chosen together) as well as study extracts from literature and poetry, articles from French newspapers, short-stories and plays. We will also watch and discuss French films. There will be some revision of advanced grammar and vocabulary. We will read and discuss the works of several French authors. This will be decided in consultation with the students in the first few sessions of the course. Literature will always be studied with reference to its social and cultural context.
