The Award in Education and Training is an introduction to teaching in the post 14 education and training sector. It is designed to give you an insight into the roles, responsibilities and relationships in education and training; teaching and learning approaches; session planning skills; delivery of inclusive sessions which motivate learners; and using different assessment methods and record keeping. Attendance for this course will be via face-to-face learning. Courses begin in November 2016 or March 2017. Face-to-face courses: •Wednesdays 9.20am to 12.20pm, starting 2 November 2016 for 13 weeks •Wednesdays 9.20am to 12.20pm, starting 8 March 2017 for 13 weeks The course covers: •Roles, responsibilities and relationships in the further education and training sector •Understanding inclusive learning and teaching •Using inclusive learning and teaching approaches •Principles of assessment.
