CELTA is an initial teacher training programme designed for those who wish to teach ESOL or EFL and includes teaching practice and observation. You will learn the principles of effective teaching and acquire practical skills for teaching English to adult learners. The CELTA course is a worldwide recognised award. We now also offer the new Online CELTA designed by International House and the University of Cambridge. You can choose the course delivery which suits you best. The choices are either online learning with teaching practice or classroom learning with teaching practice. The course will be offered at 4 points in the year: September-December (11 weeks, online learning with teaching practice Tuesdays/Thursdays 4.30pm to 8pm); January-March (11 weeks, online learning with teaching practice Tuesdays/Thursdays 4.30pm to 8pm); April-June (11 weeks part-time, classroom learning Tuesdays/Thursdays 9.30am to 1pm); July (4 weeks summer intensive, classroom learning, 9am to 4.30pm).
