Design & Technology (AS Level)

UPDATED 20151124 10:00:06

The 3-D Design course reflects the wide-ranging activities of professional designers and covers a wide range of materials. Ceramic and textile work, along with work drawing on areas such as electronics and mechanisms, can be used alongside wood and metal work to produce exciting coursework. The course contains a section on Communication Methods. Graphics are an integral part of any Design and Technology work, so it is important for students to be able to communicate their thinking clearly and represent their ideas graphically. There are opportunities for graphically-focused coursework, although all project work requires some three-dimensional outcomes.
