BTEC Level 2 Diploma in Photography

An introduction to photography. You will be taught how to use a DSLR and how to compose and construct images. Alongside these skills you will also be trained in photo-manipulation using professional software. The programme includes practical, theory and contextual work. You will be encouraged to take a broad view of photography and include elements of a range of Art and Design disciplines. The programme is sectioned into focused projects aimed to link with business and designed to develop your abilities. These projects will also involve research, taught classroom and workshop sessions and self-reflection. Feedback will be given at all stages of your development. On completion of this course you could progress onto a range of Further Education programmes of study. Fast-track to an apprenticeship If you can’t find the right apprenticeship vacancy or you want to do some studying first - no problem. You can start on a vocational study programme then once you’re ready and a vacancy becomes available, we’ll help you transfer on to an apprenticeship.
