This one day course is designed to give learners with a no Health & Safety background a basic appreciation and understanding of the regulations within the workplace. Health and Safety is now of paramount importance within the workplace. It is a requirement under the 1974 Health and Safety at Work Act that individuals are responsible not only for their own safety, but also that of their co-workers therefore, it follows that all should have an appreciation of the systems and regulations that apply. Modules: • HSWA (Health and Safety at Work Act) • MHSWR (Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations) • PUWER (Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations) • RIDDOR (Reporting of Injury Diseases Dangerous Occurrences Regulations) • COSHH (Control of Substance Hazardous to Health) • Theory Assessment
