Every year employees are killed or seriously injured on company sites because lack of training and/ or supervision during vehicle manoeuvring activities in the workplace. Training is an essential first step in reducing damage to property and injury to persons. PUWER1998 (9) requires all people who guide such equipment, to receive adequate training to supervise/ manage its safe use. This one day course is designed to provide information and practice to help employees and employers meet their legal requirements and reduce the risk of expensive accidents when carrying out vehicular reversing manoeuvres in the workplace. Modules: • HSWA & MHSWR (Health and Safety at Work Act, Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations) Overview and appreciation • PUWER (Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations) Overview and appreciation • SSSR (Safe Signals and Signs Regulations) Overview and appreciation to include verbal and hand signal operational manoeuvres
