UPDATED 20161129 14:38:12

If you have creative flair and a passion for working with customers then we have the ideal courses for you. If the latest styles in hair and cosmetics get your pulse racing then this pathway can help to turn your passion into an exciting and creative career. You will have the opportunity to gain industry level qualifications in a live salon. You will be developing your customer service skills with real clients which, in turn, will boost employability. You will develop your skills in a fast moving and dynamic environment. There are many job opportunities open to you in this industry and if you are outgoing, friendly and enjoy meeting new people, you will be an asset to the profession. Each year the College competes in World Skills Beauty Therapy Competition which focuses on the role of a Beauty Therapist. Over the last year the College hosted the Eastern Regional Heat and we had three learners make it through to the World Skills Final at the NEC. All our Pathways contain professional qualifications actively sought by employers. These will be specific to the career path you wish to follow: Beauty Therapy, Hairdressing, Barbering, Nail Services, Hair & Media Make-Up, Hair Extensions, Body Art, Photography, Make-Up, Retail Sales, Setting up your own Business, Ear Piercing, Threading, Indian Head Massage & Tanning. You will gain valuable insights into the sector and have the opportunity to build a network of contacts. During your programme you will have the chance to visit working salons and attend industry events. Once you apply we will invite you to an Information & Advice session. During this you will interview with a member of the team to decide on the elements of your course. At the beginning of July you will be invited to a Welcome Session where you will meet with your tutors, fellow learners and find out more about what you will be studying in September. Following the Welcome Session you will be offered a conditional place on a Study Programme, or further advice.
