If you are interested in becoming an assessor these Level 3 qualifications are for you. If you need to understand assessing without practical assessing you will need to complete unit 1. If you need to assess occupational competence in the work place you will need to complete Unit 1 and Unit 2. If you need to assess vocational skills outside of the workplace i.e. workshops, training rooms etc, you will need to complete Unit 1 & Unit 3. For those who will be required to assess occupational competence in both inside and outside the workplace you will need to complete Unit 1, 2 & Unit 3. The qualification offers a variety of routes and depending on your work role will determine your specific route. *Unit 1 - Understanding the principles and practices of assessment *Unit 2 - Assess occupational competence in the work environment * Unit 3 - Assess vocational skills, knowledge and understanding. If doing unit 2 or 3 you will need 2 candidates undertaking competency qualifications to assess as part of your qualification. On successful completion you can assess competence qualifications for a further education College or training provider.
