Motor Vehicle and Maintenance Repair Apprenticeship

This course will build on the knowledge gained at Level 1 with one day based at college and four days in appropriate employment. You will study, learn, develop and practice the skills required for employment and career progression in the automotive industry. City and Guilds Level 2 Diploma in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair Principles. You will study units including: Health, Safety and Good Housekeeping, Removing & Replacing Light Vehicle Engines, Chassis Units & Components, Removing & Replacing Light Vehicle Steering & Suspension System Units, Removing & Replacing Light Vehicle Transmission Units, Electrics & Maintenance. You will also study Level 2 Diploma in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair Competence, Employment Rights & Responsibilities Personal Learning and Thinking Skills and Functional Skills in Maths, English & ICT at Level 1. On successful completion of this Apprenticeship, you can progress onto the Advanced Apprenticeship in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair.
