Teaching Training - Cover Supervision of Pupils in Schools

This course is designed for individuals who are employed in a school, in the role of a cover supervisor. The course runs on roll-on, roll-off programme which allows individuals to join at any point during the year. There is an expectation that candidates will attend knowledge sessions at Huntingdonshire Regional College but there may be some flexibility with this arrangement. The majority of the course is assessed in the workplace with guidance and support from a college assessor. The candidate will study: Safeguarding the welfare of children and young people, Communication and professional relationships with children and young people, Promote equality, diversity and inclusion in work with children and young people, Support children and young people's health and safety, Promote children and young people's positives behaviour, Develop professional relationships with young people, Supervise whole class learning activities, Engage in personal development in health, social care or children's and young people's settings, Understand child and young person development, Understand how to safeguard the well being of children and young people. On successful completion you can progress your career development within schools or go on to becoming a Teacher.
