The course is designed for those directly working within a clinical dental environment. The course runs on a roll-on, roll-off programme which allows individuals to join at any point during the year and progress at their own pace. The course is assessed in the workplace with guidance and support from a college assessor. You will also be required to attend classroom sessions. The qualification is essential for your registration with the General Dental Council. You are required to be registered to legally work as a Dental Nurse. Diploma in Dental Nursing: Portfolio consisting of 11 units, including chair side support, Health and Safety, Infection control and First aid skills. Principles and theory of Dental Nursing: this is classroom based learning with an online assessment. On successful completion you will have developed your Dental Nursing career and can register with the General Dental Council (GDC) or progress onto team leading roles and qualifications
