The BTEC Subsidiary Diploma is a two year course and is equivalent to one ‘A’ Level and students will need to achieve 60 credits to gain the qualification. This will prepare students for employment in the appropriate vocational sector and is suitable for those who have decided that they wish to enter a particular area of work. Grades awarded can be Pass, Merit, Distinction or Distinction*. There are six units in total, Units 1, 2 and 3 being Core Units and the other Optional Units in order to make up the whole qualification.
