Carpentry and Joinery Level 2 Diploma

This course is aimed at people who have successfully completed the Level 1 Diploma in Carpentry and Joinery and are not already working in the sector. On completion, it is possible to progress onto the Level 3 Diploma in Site Carpentry, which is normally studied on a part-time basis. Successful completion of this course is one of the entry requirements for progression onto the Level 3 Diploma in Site Carpentry, which is studied on a part time basis. Course Content The following units are mandatory and provide developing skills for anyone working in the industry. 1. Carry out safe working practices in construction 2. Information, quantities and communicating with others 3. Building methods and construction technology 4. Carry out first fixing operations 5. Carry out second fixing 6. Erect structural carcassing 7. Carry out maintenance 8. Set up and operate a circular saw
