The Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care (Adults) for England (QCF) qualification assesses the development of knowledge and skills relating to the health and social care sector. This qualification is made up of 100% vocational units. Whilst this qualification forms part of the Apprenticeship in Health & Social Care, the qualification may also be undertaken outside the Apprenticeship. This could be for learners who do not meet the age or qualification requirements for a full Apprenticeship, or who wish to use the qualification for CPD to upskill, re-skill etc. This qualification can also be used by anyone in a supervisory position as part of their CPD. It achieves this by confirming supervisory competency in many areas such as; ##Mental health ##Dementia ##Learning disabilities ##General health care This qualification has been created for roles such as: ##Care assistants/support workers/key workers in residential settings ##Healthcare assistants / support workers in community and primary care environments ##Healthcare assistants / support workers in acute health environments ##Care assistants/support workers/key workers in domiciliary services ##Care assistants/support workers/key workers in day services ##Support workers in supported living projects ##Community-based care assistants/ support workers/key workers, including those working in specialist areas e.g. dementia, learning disabilities ##Personal assistants employed directly by the individual they support or their families ##Emerging new types of workers and multidisciplinary health roles crossing traditional service barriers and delivery models.
