The course gives students a sound understanding about the Health and Social Care sector, including mental health awareness, Behavioural Psychology and quality practice. Students will gain understanding about current legislation and policy relating to the Health and Social Care sector as well as having a ‘hands on’ experience in both fields when completing the work experience programme. There are also opportunities to gain additional qualifications such as First Aid and Sign Language.
