Physics will teach you how to communicate effectively, how to research and think critically about problems. A level Physics takes some of the topics you studied at GCSE into more depth, so that it builds upon previous knowledge. Also it introduces new topics such as quantum phenomena, where sub-atomic particles seem to behave rather oddly. You will carry out practical investigations as you did at GCSE, to help your understanding. The course also relies on computers and software to enhance the students’ learning. State of the art data logging is used, where possible, to take more accurate readings than would be humanly possible. Software simulations are often used because they can clarify understanding.
