History isn't a subject that's stuck in the past. Far from it. Historical events are what have shaped society worldwide into what it is today. At A Level History, you will extend your interest in and enthusiasm for History. You will develop the ability to write well and express ideas clearly. Your will be able to research, select and prioritise information. You will improve your ability to interpret and evaluate historical evidence. Unit 1 – Germany and West Germany, 1918-89 Unit 2 – The rise and fall of fascism in Italy, c1911-46 At A2 you will again follow two units: Unit 3 follows a British theme and will concentrate on the 19th C. Unit 4 is coursework based, where students will undertake a Historical Enquiry focused on an aspect of history closely linked to Unit 1 or Unit 2.
