This course is a perfect blend of performance and production arts that give an excellent overview of the industry in general terms. If you want to gain confidence and skills to become a professional actor, dancer or singer as well as production skills in lighting, sound and stage management. This course will equip you with a huge range of new abilities to allow you to become a part of the next generation of professional performers and those who make performance possible. From dance skills to acting technique, lighting and sound to event planning, this course is able to offer it all. Working closely with industry professionals and graduates from prestigious universities and stage schools this course will push every student towards best working practices within the field and is an excellent starting point for anyone who wants to gain an all-round knowledge of performing and production arts. The course is geared to practical and vocational work, which will establish basic skills and good working practise for performers, as well as seeking to develop your experience and imagination in performance in the following areas: Musical theatre Dance performance workshops Performing arts business Historical contexts of performance Production Arts; lighting and sound If you have not achieved a C grade or above in English or maths, you will as part of your course be required to work towards this as part of your study programme. You will be given the opportunity to go on work experience at certain times during your course. To develop your employability opportunities you may also be given enrichment classes. This may focus upon additional qualifications, industrial updating and career preparation.
