This course is designed for anyone interested in pursuing a career in the music industry and will give you a chance to to develop your practical performance skills. The course will cover areas such as reading and writing music, composing, using a recording studio and specialist music software. You will need to attend gigs and will be involved in staging your own gig, for which you will be responsible for the marketing and publicity. Students will also follow other subject related qualifications with this course. The course may include the following units - Planning and creating a music product - The music business - Rehearsal techniques - Composing music - Sequencing - Ensemble performance - Solo performance
