This course is for young people aged 16+ who have the enthusiasm to continue with their learning and require help and support to achieve their potential. The course enables learners to develop important life skills which involves training for independent/semi independent travel, money management and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Class sizes are small and support is available both inside and out of sessions as appropriate. The programme also offers the opportunity to develop numeracy and literacy skills at a level suitable to the individual. All learners are also given the opportunity to participate in an enterprise programme.

Learners are assessed on an individual basis by the tutor and through the verification of completed portfolio units. The online PDP system allows for the learner to log in and view their progress and targets so they are always aware of their achievement to date. Three annual reviews and regular staff meetings ensure that the assessment and review process continues to map individual progression.
