Creative Cookery Mixed Ability

Finding cooking a bore. Want to bring out the adventurous cook in you. In just ten weeks meal times will never be boring again. This course will cover a variety of different cooking styles from Chinese to Caribbean giving you a taste of flavours from around the world. We will guide you through the maze of ingredients available in the shops and encourage you to build up your stock of authentic flavours. This course will allow you to build your skills in cooking and will cater for individual tastes and preferences. Each session will consist of demonstrations practical exercise and guidance from an expert. The focus will be on improving and expanding your existing cooking skills. Ingredients are not included in the course costs. Students will need to bring the relevant ingredients to each session. Please note. You must bring to each class the following utensils. 1 knife 1 apron a few pans i.e. one dip pan and one frying pan containers to take food home plus all the ingredients for each recipe. The first recipe ingredients are as follows. Chicken with Apple and Cream. 4 chicken breast 4 eating apples 100gms of butter 1 bunch of spring onions some fresh basil 100ml white wine 7gms or salt and black pepper some nutmeg 200ml of double cream 15gms of plain flour 15ml of brandy 2 eggs. This recipe serves 4 persons. Plus the ingredients for Triple Chocolate Brownies 275gms unsalted butter 85gms pecans broken into pieces 85gms milk chocolate cut into large chunks 85gms white chocolate cut into large chunks 175gms plain flour 1tsp baking powder 4 large eggs lightly beaten 1tsp vanilla essence 325gms caster sugar.
