This Level 1 Preparation for Work course is a practical course that develops existing IT Skills whilst enhancing employability skills. Taught in small class sizes learners study functional skills in English and mathematics alongside core subjects to enable them to develop vital problem solving skills ensuring they are well equipped for success in learning and working life. During the year, the tutor will organise an event; a trip, seminar or other event of the group's choosing in addition to the cross college activities that take place on campus. The course is suitable for those students who wish to build on their existing IT skills and develop their employability skill, so that they can have them formally recognised.
