The Construction course will lead to the extended certificate or the diploma depending on the individual student. The course will give the students a broad overview of the construction industry and many of the trades involved. There is potential for the qualification to prepare learners for employment in the appropriate vocational sector and it is also suitable for those who have decided that they wish to enter a particular area of work. Alongside the course the students will undertake one day a week work experience with a local firm. This course is particularly suited to those students who studied Construction at KS4.
