Criminology is the science which studies crime forms of criminal behaviour causes of crime the definition of criminality and the societal reaction to criminal activity. Related areas of inquiry may include juvenile delinquency victimology (the study of crime victims) theories of prevention policing and corrections. In this introductory course we will be looking at the following: Definitions of crime; Criminal personalities; Criminal behaviour; Crime reduction; Are people born criminals or is criminal behaviour the result of upbringing and experience?All lessons will incorporate different learning styles to suit all learners. A variety of activities will take place in every lesson as well as handouts and possibly a small amount of homework - preparation work given out every week.NB: This course may deal with some sensitive issue
