Applied Business (Double Award)

You will follow a more vocational approach to developing yourunderstanding of the business world, its theory and its practice. In the Advanced course you study an AS Double Award – 6 Units and A2 Double Award – 12 Units. Units are categorised as AS or A2 standard. All AS Units are undertaken in Year 1 and A2 Units are undertaken in Year 2. AS Units: Investigating business People in business Financial planning and monitoring Meeting customer needs Business communication and information systems Career planning A2 Units: Business planning Marketing strategy Promotional activities Marketing environment Managing people Management accounts Units are assessed by either an examination or portfolio. The portfolio of evidence is based on the assignments completed in lessons and for homework.
