The A level Art and Design course, is a thorough and holistic course which offers many exciting opportunities for students to develop, explore and experiment with a range of media, techniques and to study in depth, the work of both contemporary and traditional artists and designers. As a range of pathways can be determined in the second year of study, including digital photography, fine art, art, craft and design etc. it is important that pupils who opt for this course have studied a creative subject (Design, art or photography) at level 2 (GCSE/Btec). In order to cope with the demands of the level 3 course, pupils should have achieved a strong grade C or above in these subjects, in order to study on this course.
