AS Level: how will I be assessed? Coursework: 60% of your marks - You will produce a body of work that will include experimenting with a wide range of materials and improving technical skill. You will explore issues in depth and find ways to express ideas and opinions visually. Examination: 40% of your marks - An externally set assessment on a given theme. Preparation time followed by an 8 hour examination. A2 Level: Coursework: 60% of your marks - You will choose your own project to explore in depth and produce several finished pieces including a contextual study, which will be part of the research done for the practical work. Examination: 40% of your marks - An externally set assignment. Preparation time followed by a 12 hour examination.
