This course is designed for anyone who wants to kick-start their career as a fitness instructor or personal trainer but who has no previous exercise qualifications. You must regularly participate in some form of exercise yourself and have a keen interest in health, exercise, and fitness. In addition, you will need to be highly self-motivated as the course can be very demanding both academically and physically. Units include: NVQ Level 2 in Instructing Exercise and Fitness CYQ Level 2 Gym Instructor CYQ Circuit Training CYQ Exercise to Music CYQ Group Indoor Cycling Nutrition and Weight Management Emergency First Aid You'll have opportunities to gain further qualifications and will complete a mandatory work experience placement in the College's on-site Radmoor Fitness Centre, alongside learning a range of disciplines to prepare you for working in the exercise and fitness industry.
