This programme has been specially designed for students in transition between full-time specialist provision and supported work and living. Students progressing from special schools/specialist provision at Entry Level 1 and Entry Level 2 are provided with a range of opportunities to gain Entry Level qualifications in employability skills and vocational experience in all or some of the following areas: Café Chino, helping in the workshop, maintaining the College garden/allotment, or assisting in the enterprise/arts workshop. Students will also develop: skills in writing and managing money wider communication skills skills for independent living employability skills for the supported workplace The programme is accredited through Edexcel and City & Guilds and students are given the opportunity to achieve externally accredited qualifications. Depending on progression routes, these qualifications are either awards or certificates.
