Applied Business is a two-year, vocational course, equivalent to two A Levels, which offers the opportunity to study an additional A Level subject. The course consists of twelve mandatory units over the two years. In Year 1, you'll cover: Investigating Business People In Business Financial Planning and Monitoring Meeting Customer Needs Developing a Product Career Planning Year 2 units include: Business Planning Marketing Strategy Managing Resources Promotional Activities Managing People Marketing Environment Two thirds of the units are internally assessed through coursework assignments which are set and marked by your tutors. One third of the units are externally assessed through graded tests. It's important to have an interest in business, a willingness to learn, and an ability to communicate your ideas effectively. During the course you will gain a broad understanding of business, exploring some aspects in depth have an opportunity to apply your learning in a practical way gain confidence through developing independent learning skills
