This 'Crime - Murder and the Justice System' course in Maidstone is an introduction to criminal law. This course will focus on offences against the person; the crimes of murder, manslaughter, assault and battery and the defences available to defendant for all of the crimes studied. There will be an emphasis on case studies and students will work together to analyse the case studies to determine whether a crime has been committed and whether any defence is available. The course will be interactive with lots of discussion. *N.B. This course is a law course and not a social science.* Anyone with an interest in understanding criminal law and those considering further leisure courses or GCSE Law. The course may be of interest to students currently working within the administrative sector of the legal profession who are considering further study towards becoming a paralegal or legal executive.
